Summary

Under the bright yellow sun, in the high dry grass, Twiga the baby giraffe stands with his tall, tall Mama. She wants him to stay close, stay safe. But Twiga is so curious! He can’t help investigating new sights, smells and sounds—even though they might mean danger. Mama keeps a close eye on Twiga while he learns the world around him--and even finds a favorite treat by himself! With its repetitive text, comforting message about Mama’s ever-present care, and surprises after each page turn, this book is a perfect read-aloud.
