ARTHUR AGATSTON, MD, is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In addition to his South Beach Diet bestsellers, he has authored numerous scientific articles and is frequently quoted in the media as an expert on diet and health. He maintains a preventive cardiology practice and research foundation in Miami Beach where he lives.
