Summary

The word "globalization" has become a buzzword that some use to describe almost anything happening in the world today. But globalization is a process that has eliminated the traditional barriers between countries and allows for the movement of goods, capital, people, and information. This process has speeded up dramatically as technological advances make it easier for people to travel, communicate, and do business around the world. Although the benefits of globalization seem apparent, there are positive and negative aspects for the developed and the developing countries. These aspects are discussed through examples, such as the increase in producing goods in other countries, that have caught the attention of the press and other media. Book jacket.
