Summary

If you are looking for inspiration, or if you are experiencing loneliness, emptiness, loss, or depression in your life, this is the book for you. It quickly raises the curtain on a typical family who has experienced a head on collision with unbelievable trauma and devastation. Then it leads you through the process of how they healed. It clearly shows how much faith and a foundation of strong family values matter and how on the other side of tragedy, a true calling was recognized. Real empathy and compassion can only be learned through life's experiences and healing begins when you can look outside of yourself and begin using your new knowledge to help others. One special friend shared with me that this book has changed her life from looking inward to looking outward in service to others.

Excerpts

This story is about my eldest daughter, Christine, her husband Dean, and their children, Chelsey, Tylor, Katie, Tara, and Tori, and how our family survived a storm of tragedy more deadly than you can imagine and then came to relocate to a ranch in northern Lower Michigan. It begins when Chris was in her mid-twenties. She and her husband Dean were married on May 14, 1990, and their new family included a beautiful stepdaughter, Chelsey. They were a typical young couple who were very much in love and soon had a son, Tylor. Tylor was followed two years later by Katie, and then in 1994, Tara was born. Little did we know that the deadly storm that was building on the horizon would be relentless, come in waves, and a wake of devastation that would bring our entire family to our knees.
