Summary

In this phenomenal, word-of-mouth, New York Times bestseller, Betty Eadie recounts the people she met, the truths she learned, and the magnificent realities of the spirit world which she encountered, when she "died" in a hospital at the age of 31, after undergoing surgery. (Gold Leaf Press)

Author Biography

Betty J. Eadie is a mother of eight children and grandmother of eight. Her husband, Joe, retired from the Air Force and is now employed by a major aerospace corporation in the Northwest. As the daughter of a Sioux-Indian mother, she was raised in rural Nebraska and on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. After leaving school at age fifteen to care for a younger sister, she returned to complete high school and is nearing a college degree. She owns a successful business as a registered counselor and works as a volunteer for a major cancer research center. Betty's extraordinary experience has led to television appearances in the United States and Japan and to her participation in a university near-death studies program. Over the years she has given hundreds of talks about her experience to many groups, including Compassionate Friends (serving those who have lost loved ones), church groups of many denomination, IANDS (International Association for Near-death Studies), and many more.
