Summary
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Benito Juarez has been a very controversial character in the history of Mexico. He is either loved or hated.
Was he a patriot or an authoritarian? Do we only know Juárez from school essays written about him, or do we have actual knowledge of his political proposals? Was he a traitor? Did he die peacefully or did he carry Maximilian’s murder in his conscience?
Benito Juarez’ image has often been distorted; for this reason, under the Heads or Tails Collection, historian Angelica Vázquez del Mercado and communicator Alejandro Rosas have decided to bring Juarez back as a historical figure through written essays. Tired of hearing over and over all that Benito Juárez is not, they decided to show Juarez to readers in a very simple way within that historical context, from 1806 to 1872, from where he should have never left.
